We want to draw your attention to a few very good books that are
currently on special at Horse Books Unlimited. They are not necessarily
new, but we consider them compulsory reading for any horse fanatic.
Two books came to my attention recently that I reckon should fascinate quite a few readers. They are Reining Dreams and Dressage Dreams 10. Both in the same mould, they provide a unique view into these two so different and yet so similar equestrian disciplines.

Reining Dreams
by Fransesca Sternberg
Accompanied by breathtaking images by many of the top photographers in the field, this is a book that should find an honorary spot in the reining enthusiast's library. The author, Fransesca Sternberg, is an ardent reining competitor who has competed at three World Equestrian Games.
She puts the spotlight on some of the most successful reiners and reining horses, as well as their trainers, and due to her intimate insight into the sport, she is able to portray a unique image of this exciting and growing sport.
The text is accompanied by brilliant pictures, which makes this a beautiful book. Buy it!

Dressage Dreams 10
By Stephen Clarke
Following the same design, Dressage Dreams 10 was written by Stephen Clarke, an International FEI Dressage judge, who has judged at four World Cup finals, three European Championships, the World Games, World Equestrian Games as well as the Olympic Games. As a rider in die 1980s and 1990s, he competed successfully at international level and was reserve rider for the British Olympic Dressage team to Seoul in 1988.
Some of the riders and horses featuring in this book include Carl Hester and Escapado, Kyra Kyrklund and Max, Edward Gala and Moorland Totilas, Isabel Werth and Satchmo, as well as Anky von Grunsven and Salinero.
A very welcome addition to the book is a section dedicated to pony riders, giving an insight into the lives of some of the most promising and successful young pony riders, the champions of the future.
This book is brilliantly illustrated by awe-inspiring pictures by some of the leading photographers in the field. If you are a dressage enthusiast, this one belongs in your library.
