Previously abused horses (Behaviour)

Hi Tarryn please can you help. I live in KZN and am looking for someone in the province to help me with two previously abused horses, who are very skittish and fearful around people. I dont have the knowledge to be able to help them, and yesterday was bitten out of my own stupidity. The one is a mare and the other a gelding, from different places but both have obviously had some terrible experiences particularly the mare, who is very defensive and is prepared to bite if you get in her space. I would like to find someone who can give me lessons with my two babies and show me the correct way of handling them and gaining their trust. Even if the trainer/ helper feels they would like the horses to go to them for awhile first that would be ok also. Kind Regards Claire
