A tribute to Ronelle
Horse Junction was established towards the end of 1998 and officially launched during 1999 by the late Ronelle de Villiers and her husband Roelof.
Horse Junction has grown from a small site with a few classifieds and weird looking graphics to a full-blown equestrian directory in the eight years under Ronelle's management. Her untimely death on 11 June 2006 left the site in limbo.
Ronelle is qouted as "blaming" the success of the site on three factors; "Our passion for horses, the support of our readers and the many friends that we made over the years have created this web site."
Her wish for every reader of HJ was simple:
"We hope that you enjoy these pages and that it will bring the horsey experience into your home, that HJ will help you to take it to the office and although you have to be away from your horse during the day, that HJ will ensure that horses are never too far away."
We remember and honour Ronelle de Villiers as the driving force behind the success of Horse Junction and we thank her for this rich heritage she bestowed unto us.
Ronelle on her favourite, Tonkin Xia Zing. "The love of my life", she described him. "We have built an excellent relationship through the years and no other horse can take his place."
