Have any body used a company called horsetranport, run by a lady called Nicky? www.horsetransport.co.za
A friend of mine wants to use her to transport a horse from here to the Western Cape and I just want to know of any previous experiences

Gabi, I have never used the company you are reffering to, but I can reccomend Peter Choice carriers.

I can also recommend Peter Choice Carriers. My young QH x Boerperd gelding came from KZN to the WC in January, on the hottest day of the summer, and when he arrived he was cool as a cucumber. The only place where there was any sweat on him was where the sticker was on his hindquarters!

The best thing your friend can do is to ask her for references from previous clients, if they are able to provide those then that should be fine.

I agree with Tiny.
It's great to have new transporters and carriers around........and checking references from previous clients is a good option.
I've used relatively unknown carriers several times after checking references , and they've come through with flying colours.
It's a big deal transporting horses over long distances and it's obviously really important to get it right.
